Intro to Cave / Basic Cave Diver

This course covers the basic principles of cave diving and is the second step towards the (Full) Cave Diver certification. This course develops the minimum skills and knowledge required for limited penetration cave diving. This course is aimed at perfecting basic skills and mastering the techniques and procedures required for the most elementary of cave diving. Cave dives are planned around very limited penetrations so the diver may progress into cave diving at a conservative pace. Intro to Cave Diver / Basic Cave Diver courses are not intended to train divers for all facets of cave diving.

The Intro to Cave Diver course is completed by divers using a single cylinder with a dual outlet ‘H’ Valve;  The Basic Cave Diver course is completed by divers using double cylinder configurations and the certification will expire in 18 months if the diver does not progress to the Apprentice Cave Diver course within that time frame.
